Meet Our Eco Team for 2025/2026

Our Eco Team have been working incredibly hard to create our very own Eco-Code. A shared promise and commitment to protecting our environment across the whole school.
To bring it to life, the team wrote a rap, and some of our confident Eco Warriors performed it brilliantly!

Donation to our Eco Team
A huge thank you to the Smile Group of Rossington for their incredibly generous donation of £100 to our Eco Team! 🌱 The children are already full of fantastic ideas for how to spend it, including a plum tree, creating a bug hotel, and buying plants for each classroom or our garden area. We are so proud of their enthusiasm and commitment to improving our school environment. Over the next few days, we will be sharing ideas and holding a vote to decide how best to use this wonderful donation. Thank you again for supporting our young eco champions!

Great Big School Clean

Over the past two weeks, our whole school community has been proudly taking part in the Great Big School Clean campaign! Each year group has had the opportunity to get involved in litter picking around our school grounds, and we are amazed to share that together we have collected a whopping 5 bags of rubbish! It has been wonderful to see how engaged, enthusiastic, and passionate the children have been about keeping our environment clean and looking after our school. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and teamwork. Thank you for your continued support in helping us encourage our children to care for the world around them! 💚

Eco Team Community Litter Pick

Yesterday, our wonderful Eco Team went out into the local area with the amazing community group Dig It N Grow to help look after our environment. We litter picked around the school and the surrounding area, and together we filled lots of bags with rubbish that would otherwise have been left in our community. Our Eco Team were truly passionate about helping keep our local area clean. They represented our school beautifully and showed what a difference we can make when we work together to care of the world around us. 🌍💚

Spring time planting

Our Eco Team planted the first of our spring flowers in the Eco Garden this week! The children worked really hard to help get the garden started again, and we are so excited to get it up and running for the whole school to enjoy. Keep an eye on the garden over the next few weeks to see what vegetables we manage to grow as well! 🥕🌼

Cut Your Carbon November 2025

Eco Warriors have made the decision to get the school involved in ‘Cut Your Carbon November’.

Have a listen to some of our eco team explaining what it’s all about. They have also delivered this in assembly today to the whole school!

Each child will come home with a tick list with six simple challenges to complete across the whole of November. Keep the sheet and bring it back into school on the first of December, then we will work out just how much carbon we have saved.

Planting flowers, vegetables and fruits

Our Eco Warriors have been very busy recently! They have been planting fruits and vegetables in our playground planters, and they are creating a beautiful flower garden too. Thank you Eco Warriors for helping to make our school playground look so wonderful.

Tree Planting

Our Eco Warriors were very lucky to work along side Rossington Parish Councillor, Mick Taylor, to plant some beautiful trees along the edge of our school premises. Our Eco Warriors litter picked the area first in preparation for the trees to be planted. They all thoroughly enjoyed contributing to our school environment, and they said that they can’t wait to see the trees grow and blossom over the years! Well done to all of our Eco Warriors!
