Class Trip to Doncaster Museum

Year 1 visited Doncaster Museum to learn all about Toys. They learnt so much about old toys as well as some new toys. 🧸 They discussed how they knew that some toys were old and some were new, and they also had a look at how old toys are different to ones we might have now. The children listened so well and they finished their workshop by having a play with lots of different toys, games, outdoor equipment, dolls and building blocks. Year 1 were amazing out on their trip, and they were a real credit to St Joseph’s School.

In English, Year 1 are focusing on The Lion King. They began their first lesson by listening to the story, and then the children created their own lion masks.
