Times Tables Rock Stars

TimesTables Rockstars is used throughout school to help develop children’s times tables knowledge and to develop a quick recall of multiplication and division facts. These sessions include both use of iPads playing interactive games and also timed worksheets to see how quickly the children can answer a wide range of questions. The children have their own logins for these, and they are able to continue their learning at home.

Reception were busy on a shape hunt around school. They were looking for circles and triangles in the environment and they managed to find lots of different objects which had these shapes. Reception have also spent time making repeating patterns with fruit kebabs. It's fair to say everyone enjoyed this! They have also learnt about capacity - using words such as 'full', 'empty' and 'half full' to describe the water containers. Some children were even comparing different sized containers and estimating which one would hold more. Well done, Reception!
