On Friday 7th March, we gave 2 children from each class a chance to compete head to head as part of the Danum Read Aloud Competition. The children were asked to recite a poem from memory in front of the whole school, and they had to add expression to bring their poem to life! All the children who competed did an excellent job, and were very brave to do this in front of everyone, plus 3 judges- Mrs Black, Mrs Wild and Mrs Sands. One winner was selected, who will now go on to compete against other Doncaster schools. A huge well done to all the children involved, you were amazing!
