Jubilee Year - Pilgrims of Hope | St Joseph's Catholic Primary School

The Jubilee year is a landmark moment in the life of the global Catholic church - a holy year which happens every 25 years. Pope Francis has invited all school communities to join together as pilgrims of hope, pledging to work together for God's kingdom of justice, peace and love.

In school, we have launched our Jubilee Year with children responding in artwork form to the Pilgrims of Hope logo. Here are some examples of children's thoughtful creations which have beautifully brightened up the windows around school!

Jubilee Mascots

Three very talented artists in Year 5 helped to create our whole school display by drawing the official Jubilee mascots - we have Luce, her pet dog, Santino and her friends, Fe and Sky. I think you'll agree, they look amazing!

Our Holy Door of Hope

The GIFT team have been hard at work creating artwork to decorate our Holy Door. Inspired by the Holy Door at the Vatican, our door reflects the different miracles performed by Jesus. Each panel tells a story, reminding us of our call to be Pilgrims of Hope as we embark on this sacred journey together.

Year 3

Children in Year 3 have spent time reflecting on what hope means to them and how they can spread messages of hope in the world during the Jubilee year.
