Mass and Liturgies
Advent Mass
Father John joined us to celebrate the start of Advent, and he blessed our classroom Advent Wreaths. Readings were carried out by our wonderful GIFT team, and Father John entertained us with one of his stories - The story of Balaam
Christmas Mass
Father John joined us for our Christmas Mass, and he spoke about waiting in anticipation for Jesus’ birth and Christmas Day. He entertained us with a modern day story of the Grinch, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. We also listened to readings and prayers from some of our Year 5 class, and sang some beautiful hymns.
EYFS Nativity
Our EYFS classes performed a wonderful Nativity story all about Whoopsie Daisy Angel. Their beautiful singing and dancing made us all want to dance and join in!
Year 3 Advent Liturgy
Year 3 told the story of how The Angel Gabriel visited Mary and Joseph to tell them that she was going to have a baby. Year 3 reflected on all the different names we have for Jesus. Well done Year 3!
Year 4 Advent Liturgy
Year 4 told the story of Mary, and how the Angel Gabriel delivered the message that she will have a baby, Jesus. Year 4 performed this beautifully and sang 2 lovely songs. Well done!
Year 5 Advent Liturgy
Year 5 performed an amazing Advent liturgy all about the Shepherds, and how it was their job to spread the news of Jesus’ birth. Year 5 sang beautifully - well done Year 5!
Year 6 Advent Liturgy
Year 6 ended our advent liturgies by re-telling the story of Jesus' birth. They reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas as we reflected on Christ being born for us.
