Spring Term - Disney Lion King

Positivity Mission

Year 1 focused on Positivity during this mission. They cheered their teams on to collect 'bugs' to bring back to give to Timon and Pumba. They decided that as a class being cheered on by their friends really helped them to complete their mission.

Teamwork Mission

In Commando Joe Year 1 used their teamwork skills to get Timon, Pumba, Narla and Simba to Pride Rock. It wasn’t an easy task, but they never gave up. Well done Year 1!

Autumn Term - Once Upon a Time Traditional Tales

Communication Mission

Year 1 explored how to safely get through the forest away from the Big Bad Wolf 🐺 they had to work as a team to cross the ‘forest’ playground safely. They had to make sure they communicated well with each other, in order to move the equipment across the playground. Excellent communication skills Year 1!

Self - Awareness Mission

Year 1's mission was to get through the forest without falling in the 'water' around them. The children had to use hoops to get through the 'wood'. If anyone slipped or fell into water, they had to go straight back to the start of the wood. If that wasn’t hard enough, some children then had to do the mission with blind folds on! The children had to use their self awareness skills to ensure that they didn't fall out of their hoops, and teamwork in order to help each other along.
